Founded by Italian-English duo Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes, Giopato & Coombes is a lighting design company founded in 2014 that fuses the finest Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge technological advances.

Passionate innovators who are pushing the boundaries of lighting design, Giopato & Coombes’ work is informed by Murano’s rich glassblowing heritage but looks ahead to the future through its discreet and intelligent use of modern technology.

An architect and a designer respectively, Giopato & Coombes are bold and ambitious in their work. In just a few short years they have broken free of the Italian design establishment to forge their own path. Their creativity is boundless and is evident in every fixture. Marble, brass and glass are elevated to the extraordinary, and through material and technical innovation such as the use of 3D printing and aeronautical grade stainless steel, appear to float.
