Andrea Tognon
Coming from a long line of carpenters and furniture-makers, Italian architect and designer Andrea Tognon’s works are born at the intersection of architecture and design through the observation of how forms and spaces can communicate emotions and convey identity values.
His Milan studio pursues each project through a process of painstaking research and exploration, seeking and capturing the nearly intangible essence of a brand and masterfully bringing it to life in spaces, objects and designs. Tognon’s approach to furniture making is to challenge the archetypal idea of a piece of furniture, deconstructing it to its basic elements and re-envisioning it in a new form, at which point it transcends being a mere object. His designs form a captivating interplay with the viewer, and with the settings in which they feature. Van Rossum's 2021 GOT collection showcases his rare take on furniture.
