Jonas Bohlin
Jonas Bohlin was born in Stockholm 1953, GCE at A level from technical high school 1974 and examined Interior Architect from Konstfack, The National College of Art, Craft and Design in Stockholm 1981.
His career started with the success in 1981 of the concrete chair named “Concrete” which created much debate in the design community. What is most important – shape or function? The chair was meant as a sculpture but was made in a limited edition and is today a collector’s item.
Jonas Bohlin has had an architects practice since 1983. Teaching at Beckman’s School of Design since 1988 and professor in interior architecture at The College of Arts, Crafts and Design, Stockholm. He has been awarded several prizes, awards and distinctions and has taken part in exhibitions all over the world.
