Milan, you've truly outdone yourself! From the vibrant energy of Salone del Mobile to Milan Design Week, the Tollgard team were fully immersed in a dynamic world of creativity and innovation last week. There was no shortage of inspiration, from sculptural, cutting-edge lighting to biophilic, timeless designs that speak to the future of interiors.
While it was no easy task to narrow down our favourite moments, here are a few standout highlights that left a lasting impression. We're beyond excited to bring a carefully curated selection of these design treasures to our London showroom soon.
Rakumba's stand at the Fair was truly (truly) exceptional. Unlike pretty much every other stand at Euroluce, they focused on a single piece of design, using the cumulative effect of their new Big Glow light to create an unforgettable experience and cementing the transformative effect that great functional sculpture can have. At the heart of Big Glow lies its pioneering use of Australian wool. Inherently luxurious, beautifully soft and enduringly relevant. We see Big Glow as a must-have piece of design for commercial projects big and small.
Vancouver-based lighting studio A-N-D made a bold impression at the fair, unveiling a dynamic and distinctive range of new creations. In a compelling collaboration with BOON_EDITIONS, A-N-D presented a curated collection of design treasures at the iconic Milan Stock Exchange, brought to life through a shared creative vision.
De Castelli unveiled a striking new chapter in its design journey, introducing fresh creations and refined interpretations of its iconic pieces. Seamlessly blending art with innovation, the brand continues to shape timeless works that blur the line between craftsmanship and contemporary design. The purity of curves and the dialogue between positive and negative space find new expression in the coffee table versions of Sinestesia, alongside new surfaces and wall cladding.
An ode to Milan, Molteni delves into the city's rich tapestry of history and innovation, honoring its storied creative legacy while offering a forward-looking reflection of its design future. At Salone Molteni showcased two significant additions to their collection: a new sofa by Christophe Delcourt and a desk by Vincent Van Duysen.
Linteloo unveiled a collection that seamlessly blends artisanal craftsmanship with contemporary design, emphasising comfort and sustainability. Standout pieces were the Willow armchair, designed by Yabu Pushelberg and the Palm Beach sofa, a modular masterpiece designed by Jan te Lintelo.
Where cocktails meet craftsmanship. Bieke Casteleyn's Salone collection redefines the intersection of art and function, offering pieces that are both visually striking and supremely comfortable. Her work continues to push the boundaries of contemporary design, blending sculptural forms with everyday elegance. Complementing the armchair, Bieke introduced a new cocktail cabinet that embodies sculptural elegance.

Staffan is delighted that his Belle lamp for Contardi will officially launch at Maison & Objet 2014 in Paris on Friday 24th of January. Contardi will display both sizes in the colour combinations that form the standard collection as well as one large size of a new special edition in copper.
The Belle lamp was designed to play with the notion of functional sculpture. Lighting couturier Contardi’s immaculate execution of the Belle succeeds in concealing its function until closer inspection.

We look forward to seeing you there. Don’t miss Contardi in hall 7 stand G130!
We are beyond thrilled that Dojo has won the national award for best Fit Out of a Workplace at the BCO Awards. Another great milestone for this project for all of us at Tollgard and our partners in design for the project, BDG. A massive thank you to the judges and our incredible clients.
About Dojo Offices
A truly flexible workplace, the Dojo offices connect the essence of home with the functionality of the office. Situated in London’s Brunel Building, the founders expressed that they wanted the best of both worlds – a flexible, professional workspace that reflected the start-up spirit of the business. With no room for cute, this was a project rooted in balancing structure with chaos.
We were honoured to collaborate with workplace and office design specialists, BDG architecture + design to create this hybrid space which met our clients’ need for spaces for casual collisions and cross-functional working. With 3000 sqm. across two floors, there are several places for people to come together – including open meeting tables, booth seating and meeting rooms – as well as a central hub that acts as the epicentre of the two floors.
The results speak for themselves
An innovative workplace that feels effortlessly modern and most importantly, works for its people.
