Designed to be supremely comfortable and enveloping, the asymmetrical form of the Reposer seat and backrest is intended to gratify the intuitive act of sitting. Feminine and futuristic in feel, the composition of curvy forms, subtle angles and asymmetry that distinguish the REPOSER reference the meanderings of natural forms, emphasizing plays of scale and form.
Reposer exudes a retro modern mood of sophisticated lounge culture expressed in the colour blocking of the upholstery and the polished chrome base. His process is intuitive, beginning as a hand drawn sketch, often influenced by geographic physicality and a sense of place. This flow progresses via provocative dialogues; sculptural, stylistic, constructivist, emotional and visual; arriving at a design which is the resonance of natural materials and the desire to gracefully hold space. Court ultimately engages the user via an emotionally articulate, scenic silhouette.
