Tip of the Tongue Ceilign and Wall Mounted
Tip of the Tongue consists of table lamp, wall lamp and ceiling-mounted sconce, all which feature an interesting illusion: a luminous mouth-blown opaline sphere appears to roll down the edge of a solid polished brass base. This delicate gesture of a sphere poised on the edge of the surface evokes the familiar phenomenon of failing to retrieve a word from memory, expressing a moment of tension in the form of the design.
Tip of the Tongue was launched at Euroluce in Milan in 2013. It has gone on to become one of Michael Anastassiades’ most iconic pieces.

DESIGNED BY
Michael Anastassiades
Michael Anastassiades is a Cypriot designer, based in London. He launched his studio in 1994 to explore contemporary notions of culture and aesthetics through a combination of product, furniture and environmental design. He creates objects that are minimal, utilitarian and almost mundane yet full of a vitality one might not expect.
