Agapecasa

Agapecasa was established in 1973 by the Benedini family; italian furniture designers in Verona and subsequently relocated to Mantua. Founded with the vocation of creating new ways of interpreting the bathroom, the company today sets a benchmark for contemporary furniture.

Agapecasa is synonym of distinctive codes such as sobriety, elegance, experimentation, and quality.

Agapecasa is now proudly presenting the “Mangiarotti” collection. Italian furniture designer Angelo Mangiarotti is one of the great names of Twentieth-century Italian design. He was a committed, cultivated and brilliant designer. Capable of embracing the ideals of the Modern Movement and going beyond them with his experimental and extremely original designs. Some of his thoughts on living are now being exclusively incorporated in Agapecasa.

Mangiarotti collection presents objects for everyday living. All pieces are very diverse and extremely relevant to today’s needs. Conceived by a designer who has been able to experiment with new reference parameters in typology, form, and construction. The collection proposes furniture pieces that deal unconventionally with the objects that inhabit our lives, making them functional intelligently and innovatively.

Tollgard showroom welcomes Agapecasa’s Eros tables, a set of marble tables, which represent the conclusion of research into embedded furniture with no joints or clamps. The structural design of the Eros tables involves gravity-based embedding between the tabletop and base. The elegant design of the eyelets along the rims and corners is at the same time a piece of structural invention.

Another addition to the Tollgard showroom Agapecasa The 3T chair. This comfortable chair is made of traditional materials like wood and leather and is featuring simple but elegant construction details. A stool with three rectangular-sectioned legs, two front legs at the sides and a central leg at the rear, joined together by a solid T-shaped cross structure. A piece of leather seamlessly gives shape to the back and seat. The “3T” chair took Angelo Mangiarotti closer to the work of another great 20th-century maestro, Carlo Scarpa, who influenced all those designers who believed attention to detail was something to be explored and honoured.
