Alma is a small armchair with a distinct personality. Its balanced proportions and enveloping lines instantly inspire a feeling of comfort associated with great stylistic elegance. Sleek and graceful, thanks to the aluminum swivel base, the Alma armchair pairs perfectly with all the dining tables in the Flexform collection and also meets the increasingly widespread demand for furnishing a home office space or workplace environments like executive offices, meeting rooms and beautifully appointed conference rooms.
Both the base and custom-designed sinuous seat and backrest shell are made of cast aluminum, as are the practical swivel casters that allow the small armchair to be moved easily. The Alma small armchair comes in a stationary version or with swivel mechanism and in versions with and without armrests.

Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in Milan in 1950 and completed his studies in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. In 1981 he started his practice in architecture and interior design, together with his Californian wife, Terry Dwan. Since 1999 Antonio Citterio has been teaching at the Academy of Architecture of the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Mendrisio, Switzerland. A number of Citterio’s pieces for Kartell are in the permanent collections of MOMA in New York and the Pompidou Centre, Paris. Antonio Citterio is probably most well-known for his furniture designs for Flexform, including the Groundpiece modular sofa system and the ABC armchair. Aram Store also stocks some of his work for Kartell.
