Antonio Citterio

Antonio Citterio was born in Milan in 1950 and completed his studies in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic. In 1981 he started his practice in architecture and interior design, together with his Californian wife, Terry Dwan. Since 1999 Antonio Citterio has been teaching at the Academy of Architecture of the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Mendrisio, Switzerland. A number of Citterio’s pieces for Kartell are in the permanent collections of MOMA in New York and the Pompidou Centre, Paris. Antonio Citterio is probably most well-known for his furniture designs for Flexform, including the Groundpiece modular sofa system and the ABC armchair.
