The Mesa table has a Ligurian slate top which, thanks to the traditional splitting technique, maintains the rock’s natural grooves and lines on the surface. A lower shelf in burnished steel sheet metal provides further stability and resistance.
The load bearing column is in grey pietra serena with a plastic shaped tip inserted in the base. The joint between the top and the column is made of tubular burnished steel to which a three-bracket joint plate is attached so it is possible to alter the position of the top.

Lella Vignelli was born in Udine and graduated in architecture in Venice. Massimo Vignelli was born in Milan in 1931 and studied architecture in Milan and Venice. Their work includes graphic design, corporate image work for industry, signs and industrial design; they design furniture, interiors and exhibition installations. Originally based in Milan and since 1965 in New York, the studio works with some of the most important american and European companies and institutions.
