Designed by Tollgard & Castellani
We are beyond thrilled to share that Tollgard & Castellani’s exclusive first works for fine furniture maker, Giorgetti, have been recognised at this year’s Livingetc Style Awards for best coffee table.
The Chanterelle collection of low tables evokes the graceful upward flow of the forest gold from which they take their name: an iconic, contemporary and rigorous design of which we are immensely proud. A huge thank you to Giorgetti for the opportunity to create this exciting piece and to Livingetc for the wonderful award and recognition of our design.
“The inspiration for the design began with a walk in the woods. At every level, life strives towards the light. The twin expressions of this organic growth, Chanterelle captures both the branches of the trees and their graceful canopies as well as the organic sculptural forms of the forest floor.”
Staffan Tollgård
Founder and Creative Director
Product design has allowed Tollgard & Castellani to tell the story of the piece instead of the story of the space. The direct, focused narrative of each piece offers an answer to a question of living that the interior design journey has uncovered.
The design partnership between Giorgetti and Tollgard began with a shared love of great furniture design and a love of functional sculpture. As they approach each new collection, Staffan Tollgard & Filippo Castellani explore the balance of form and function within each piece, striving to create objects that capture the imagination.
